I was just asked the question, how does it feel to be so pretty? In all my days of living I have never been asked that question and I wasn't really able to answer it, but it did make me think. First, I wanted to look up the definition of pretty. It means attractive in a delicate way without being beautiful. Okay, so what does beautiful mean? Having qualities that give great pleasure or satisfaction to see, hear, think about, etc; delighting the senses or mind. So in my mind I think I'm quite beautiful, but not beautiful enough. I wish I was 30 lbs lighter, more sophisticated, and eloquent. Yes, I see myself much differently than people see me, but don't we all? Because of my desires to be better I am extremely hard on myself to make sure I'm presenting myself in a certain way especially working in the beauty industry. You do know that the way you look is a presentation to those who come across your path don't you? Whether you like it or not people judge you based upon your appearance, your body language, and the way you sound. We are all attracted to things that look and sound pretty and I do love all things pretty, which includes hair, makeup, and fashion. I believe it's every woman's God given right to look and behave beautifully. It's a joy being a woman, embrace it.
Being the woman who stands out in the crowd has now become a fear to most. Why is that? Is it because she is the most envied? Or maybe it's because she's just so damn beautiful? Men want her and women want to be her (secretly). The only attribute she has that are different is she made a conscious decision to be beautiful and she will do whatever it takes to get there. She invested time and money in to her wardrobe; she eats healthy and exercises regularly. With all of that hard work she takes pride in herself and what she accomplished and she should. It's hard living a disciplined life. It's easy to let yourself go, it's easy to fall into a complacent lifestyle, and become stuck in the past. Well, it's time to release the beauty, it's time you take your seat on the throne and become the queen God intended for you to be. I would love to be at an event where all the women turn heads. Now that would be a sight to see. It doesn't have to be drastic, start small, first create a detailed plan of some things you would like to change or looks you would like to have (make sure you include a timeline and a budget) then make one change a month until you achieve your goals.Stay focused on the prize which is a better you!
